Jon has more than 30 years experience in the HVAC industry. Prior to founding UMI, he was the Regional Vice President in charge of Bay Area operations for a statewide HVAC company. Jon has worked with local and national HVAC companies where he served as estimator and project manager, senior project manager, sales engineer, and Vice President of Strategic Accounts, respectively. Jon holds a BS in Engineering Technology (AC&R) from California Polytechnic State University. He is a member of A.S.H.R.A.E., SMACNA, SCVCA and the SJSV Chamber of Commerce.

Tom has 40 years of construction and HVAC industry experience and as the CEO focuses on business development and operations. Before forming UMI, Tom served on the Strategic Management team for a regional HVAC company where he managed the sheet metal and piping union labor forces. Prior experience includes EVP Construction Operations for a national company, where Tom also managed departments including HVAC Project Management, Sheet Metal, Piping/Plumbing, Purchasing and Safety. Tom attended Diablo Valley and Laney Colleges and was an apprentice with Sheet Metal Local 104. He is a member of SMACNA, SCVCA, SWMIA Union Local 104 and the SJSV Chamber of Commerce.

Blaine joined the United Mechanical team in 2006 and became part owner in 2008. Blaine adds 22 years of experience in the HVAC industry and he specializes in design/build of high and mid-rise office R&D buildings including corporate campuses, Data Centers, clean rooms, biopharmaceutical facilities, office complexes and architecturally intricate projects. Blaine has an accomplished track record on a vast number of design/build projects. Blaine holds a BS in Engineering Technology (AC&R) from California Polytechnic State University and is a registered Professional Engineer for the State of California as well as a member of the SJSV Chamber Member.

Zack has 22 years in the commercial plumbing field with a range of experience such as specializing in Auto CAD, estimating, sales and the managing of projects. Before United Mechanical, Zack was the owner Metro Plumbing- a well-respected company in the industry. In 2010, Zack joined the United Mechanical team allowing our HVAC Construction to offer greater capabilities by incorporating a Commercial Plumbing division and is rapidly becoming the favored estimator for many large car dealership remodels here in the Bay Area. Zack has his C-36 contractor's license and is a member of the SJSV Chamber of Commerce.
