Projects - Office R&D Class A Office Space

BEA Headquarters

This 18 Story structure was built in 2000 but stood empty until BEA purchased it in 2007. The building consists of 12 floors of class A office build out. The first 5 floors consist of the infrastructure necessary to support their business. This infrastructure includes an auditorium for all hands meeting and customer presentations; an executive briefing center; a full service and kitchen and cafeteria; training center; and corporate Data Center. This design build project was performed using LEED techniques.

General Project Data

  • 381,000 square feet of office space
  • VAV with hot water reheat
  • Condenser water with water source heat pumps for 24/7 spaces
  • Automated logic DDC Controls
  • Start Date 12/15/07
  • Completion Date 7/25/08

Network Appliance Building 8

This new 5 story corporate class A office building connects to Network Appliances corporate headquarters. This design build project is being constructed with a state of the art chilled water plant serving custom air handling units. The building houses Network Appliance’s employee work out facilities; including a complete gymnasium that is also used for all hands meetings and corporate presentations. This project is being built using LEED techniques.

General Project Data

Apple Vallco Parkway 1

Apple purchased this 2 story 158,000 square foot office R&D building in early 2007. The project was comprised of over 200 private offices and over 20 Lab and network spaces. The buildings interior was completely removed, along with all of the existing HVAC systems. New rooftop package variable air volume systems with hot water reheat were installed to handle the office area. A condenser water system with redundant fluid coolers was installed to the 24/7 and mission critical areas. This design build project's aggressive schedule was achieved through complete coordination between in-house engineering and field leadership.

General Project Data

  • 158,000 square feet of office R&D space.
  • Rooftop Air Cooled Packaged Variable Air Volume with Hot Water Reheat.
  • New condenser water system with water source heat pumps for 24/7 and mission critical spaces.
  • Johnson Controls Metasys DDC Controls
  • Start Date 6/06/07
